Product details
72" x 6" x 2.5" Class 4 Standard Taper Forklift Forks (Pair)
The heaviest Class 4 section we stock, in a six-foot length. At 2.5" thick, this fork is rated 21,400 lb per pair — the blade for 15,000 to 17,500 lb trucks moving die sets, coils, transformers, and machinery bases that a 2" fork shouldn't be asked to carry. Six feet of length keeps the load's center of gravity on the blade instead of hanging off the tip.
Standard taper is the right shape here. These loads are on skids, pallets, or cribbing, not flat on the floor, so the taper only needs to guide the tip into the opening. If you're sliding under plate or bundled steel with no pallet, look at the Class 4 full taper & polish line instead.
Capacity drops fast with load center on a fork this long: 21,400 lb at 24" becomes roughly 10,200 lb at 48". Before lifting a wide machine base, measure where the weight actually sits and check the forklift fork capacity chart. If you don't need the full 21,400 lb, the 6" x 2" (12,600 lb) and 6" x 2.25" (18,200 lb) versions of this length weigh less and cost less.
