Class III - FTP Forks

Class 3 full taper & polish (FTP) forks are the mid-range choice for trucks that lift flat, unpalletized loads all day. The blade tapers from heel to tip and is polished on top, so it works under stacked lumber, plywood, drywall, and steel plate without a pallet or a pry bar. On a 6,000 to 10,000 lb truck in a lumber yard, a truss plant, or a steel service center, this is the fork that earns its keep.

Fits any ITA Class III carriage

Three blade sections, 8,000 to 10,800 lb per pair

Every length below comes in 6" x 1.5", 7" x 1.5", and 8" x 1.5". All three run a 1.5" thick blade; the width is what changes the capacity and the bearing surface. The 8" wide section is the pick for plywood and OSB units, where a wider blade keeps the stack flat and spreads the load. Capacities are rated at a 24" load center; on long loads, derate for the real load center using the forklift fork capacity chart.

Lengths from 42" to 72"

Pick the length that reaches at least two-thirds of the way under your longest common load. 60" and 72" are the usual lengths for lumber units and doubled sheet-good loads. Need longer? See the lumber & plywood forks page.

Standard taper or full taper?
